We founded Ticket to Ride on 3 commitments: experience, social responsibility, and education. For the past 13 years these have been the fabric of our development, and our journey has been one of innovation to offer unique experiences, whilst continually striving to provide a positive social impact and a broader education for people of all ages.

We are excited to be the first surf school to achieve the Learning Outside the Classroom recognition, joining a community of organisations committed to broadening horizons and providing educational experiences for young people. To achieve this recognition we have been rewarded, and have committed, to uphold the highest of standards across safety, learning objectives, staff training, and equipment to provide the best possible experience for our customers.

What is the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom?

The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom is a national charity existing to promote and champion learning outside the classroom so all children and young people can benefit from increased opportunities for high quality and varied educational experiences, aligning with our belief that every child should be given the opportunity to experience life and lessons outside of four walls as part of growing up.

Sometimes it can be difficult to determine who the good operators are in a busy market place. By seeking out organisations who are LOTC you can be sure that you will be choosing to put your time and money into a well experienced operator.

We are making a commitment to our customers that when you choose to visit our surf school you can be confident in our procedures, and values. We have a long term view, and are committed to making the investment into our experience, irrespective of the subsequent costs.

What does it mean for our Surf School?

Receiving the LOTC accreditation does more than celebrate our journey so far. It binds us to the continuous innovation and development of the experiences that we offer. Every year we will need to seek recertification to continue to satisfy the LOTCs high level criteria.
