Ladies Cornwall Surf Weekend

Overview

We’re stoked to be running more Ladies Surf Weekends from our Watergate Bay Surf School! This year we are thrilled to be partnering with Danni Unway, who will be delivering a much anticipated Surf Confidence Workshop as part of the weekend.

Danni is a trained psychotherapist and delivered this workshop during our Women’s Week in Sri Lanka. She provides a safe space to share and will guide you through approaching and nurturing your relationship with surfing. One of our surf coaches, Lucy, has participated in this workshop so please feel free to reach out to her or Danni with any questions.

During the weekend you’ll be taught by our inspiring female instructors who will tailor the coaching to you and your equipment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or progressing to more advanced manoeuvres, our coaches will be able to help you set and work towards individualised goals.

What we provide

All equipment is included in the price of your lesson. This includes a full length wetsuit and a soft foam surfboard. We also have boots if needed. If you would prefer to wear your own wetsuit then please do so, you are welcome to use our changing rooms.

 

Beginners are allocated one of our Softech learner surfboards. These boards are soft, buoyant and stable. Perfect for the first time surfer.

 

We have a variety of different length boards to cater for all shapes and sizes. If you have surfed before you may want to try one of our intermediate surfboards or premium hard board range.

 

Our qualified coaches will be with you every step of the way and provide hands on assistance in the water throughout.

What you need to bring

Please arrive for your lesson 15 minutes prior to the start time. We have changing rooms and storage for clothes and bags, phones and valuables can be left securely in the shop.

 

We recommend bringing the following:

• Swimwear
• Towel
• Water
• Suncream
• Enthusiasm!
