Errant Grom Club is Back!
Posted on , updated on
Dedicated to the development of surfing, Errant is rekindling its grom surf club.
Just in case you didn’t know I’ll clear it up now; a “grom” is a surfer’s term for young surfer. Since our amazingly successful Errant grom/youth exchange to Lanzarote in 2007, and our 2008 trip to Spain, and some requests from the Groms of the local area, the club is back!
We will be holding an after school training session every Thursday 4pm – 6pm for new surfers (aged 9 – 16), improvers and Elite surfers, for the residents of Newquay and surrounding areas. We will be using video-coaching techniques and will edit the videos with the group to post on our websites and social networks.
The grom club sessions will start on the 27th March 2013 and run all year round.
All sessions are heavily discounted and we will be running a number of other fun activities in the months ahead, not to mention some more specific grom exchange trips overseas.
The Errant Surf School, based at Trebarwith Hotel, is a Surfing GB Accredited Training centre for training surf coaches and lifeguards. Some of Europe’s top surf coaches and surfers train with us year in, year out.
Membership is £15 per year, and surf coaching sessions are £5 per session. We also run a Girls only session with our Social Enterprise Groundswell every Friday Evening, please contact us for more information.
Numbers for the grom club are limited, so get your Membership Form in asap.
