As team we all agree that Watergate Bay is the best beach to surf on in Cornwall. Yet even with this reputation you can always find your own space to surf away from any crowds. At lower tides there’s 3 miles of sand and waves to explore. At high tide you can enjoy a coffee and watch the surfers from the comfort of a beach side restaurant.
Watergate is a stunning bay situated three miles North of Newquay on the rugged North Cornwall coast. Driving down the hill into the town, you’ll be greeted by a picturesque view of the coast and sea. In the water you’ll enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding cliffs and coast, along with a welcoming atmosphere from other water users.
With the best equipment, changing room facilities, stocked surf shop and small surf groups – you’re all set for the best surf lesson experience from start to finish. Our experienced team of surf instructors make sure that whatever your level, you will always improve your surfing.
