Home - The longest flat spell for 13 years
This August has officially been the flattest August for waves in the last 13 years, according to the data from Magic Sea Weed.
It’s been a beautiful few weeks of glorious sunshine down in Perranporth, we’ve even been able to teach without a wetsuit on a few days, which is a rarity for Cornwall. The one thing we have been lacking, unfortunately, is waves!
The conditions have been fantastic for our beginner surfers, who have enjoyed crystal blue waters and perfect small surf. Those of us who prefer the thrill of surfing larger waves however have been patiently waiting for that first big swell to roll back in!
Lets hope that we don’t have to wait too long until the ocean comes to life again.
